This is our 11th season delivering this unique type of course.
It is simply aimed at riders who wish to become good instructors. Maybe you're fed up with the rat race and need a change of career or you fancy doing a season away and want to get something out of it or you simply want a change of lifestyle. The common goal is gaining the ability to do something we love and there is no better way than being able to snowboard every day.
Our BASI level 2 program means you have to be a BASI Level 1 instructor before embarking on our season program. Our unique approach is to help you complete this BASI level 1 course in the UK during the months of April to November at one of our partner venues. We work with all the indoor centers in the UK.
In doing it this way we believe it focuses everyone as to what's needed to become an instructor far earlier than the traditional 'gap' programs and also gives you a full 10 weeks in resort to get the riding and teaching up to and beyond a level 2 standard. You then have 3 weeks extra to ride, chill and just enjoy being in resort and can leave anytime after the exam all the way until the 31st March. This is included in the price.....
Our winter program is an ideal training season which gives candidates the best possible chance to do this. Not only do you receive training from the highest qualified BASI instructors and BASI trainers but you also get to experience what it's like to be a 'local' and part of the snowboard scene in a thriving winter village. Something that will be invaluable as an instructor in the years to come!
On top of the standard BASI Level 2 course, you will have the opportunity to upgrade your trip with a range of other extras:
Early Arrival - The cost for arriving early on the 18th December will be a special £495. This is to give you chance to see what it's like to spend a lively Christmas and New Year in a winter resort.
Super Extended Stay: If you want to stay later than 31st March, then this is the option for you. Our super extended stay means you can ride with us, join in with all the closing party’s and generally have a good time until 18th April which is a day AFTER the mountain closes. The cost to do this is a special £375 extra.
Both early and super extended stays have a limited number of places available.
BASI Freestyle Coach - We have the option to do the NEW freestyle coach whilst you are with us. The course fee will be approximately £300 and can be paid when course numbers are confirmed.
BASI Snowboard Adaptive L1 Exam - Can be used as a second discipline as well as or instead of Skiing. It's a 5 day course that will teach you to use the sit-skis and learn about dealing with people with disabilities. The course fee is payable direct to BASI and will be around £450.
Adaptive Pre Exam Training - 5 mornings worth of training with Andy B prior to taking the adaptive exam. Andy will also be your examiner on the actual exam so well worth the extra training. Cost £245.
Room Upgrades - Standard accommodation is two people sharing a bedroom. The cost to have a double room to yourself for the duration of the course is £695 and single rooms are available for £495.
All of our winter courses take place in Arinsal in the Vallnord Region in Andorra. Andorra has been a popular destination for UK skiers since the mid 90s and has always been a great value destination offering everything from a great park in Arinsal to some great off-piste skiing especially in Arcalis, the freeride capital of Andorra which is only a short free bus ride away.
Andorra has a duty free tax status so is great value for money meaning you can go out and enjoy yourself without breaking the bank! Have a read of the brochure, so you know how cheap it is to live in resort...especially with our discount wristband ;)
Want to see what Andorra has to offer? Check out a nice edit from one of the girls from 2015/16 Level 2 season and an edit to highlight some of the off piste available....
