Looking for a natural high? Try 1344m.
Hiking and mountaineering attracts thousands of people to the Scottish Highlands every year. Glencoe boasts some of the most iconic and picturesque mountains in the British Isles; so why not take a day walking up to the highest point in the British Isle for the best view in the house?
At 1344m above sea level, Ben Nevis provides a genuine challenge, albeit one that's easily accessible to anyone with a general level of fitness. Let Vertical Descents be your guide for the day as you summit this stunning mountain peak.
Meeting at the Ben Nevis Inn, you'll want to come fully prepared, as the climb and descent can take anywhere between 8 and 10 hours - no midday pub break here!
This is a climb best done with friends, and Vertical Descents usually take groups of 8, so we recommend finding a group of buddies to join you. If your group size is smaller than 8, you may be paired up with other groups or individuals for the day. Never a bad thing to make new friends, but your date preferences may be affected!
This is not a walk in the park, so make sure you turn up prepared, but if you're up for it, you'll end the day with a real sense of accomplishment (and quite possibly a meal back at the Ben Nevis Inn)!
