With its diverse range of cliffs in such a small area, Newquay is a coasteering dream. We take you for a proper coasteering session which gives you a good length of time in the water and a real adventure. We will choose the venue to suit your needs, and the weather and sea state on the day. We have 3 locations to choose from and depending on what you and your group require we can provide you with the best bespoke coasteering adventure available in Newquay.
All the features in the Newquay area coasteer routes are optional which makes it the perfect activity for mixed ability groups. Challenge yourself with nature's watery wonderland - fun, adventure and challenges - all enjoyed at your own pace!
There are three different routes available in Newquay:
The Gazzle - The most popular and most sheltered location in Newquay, this route offers everything and some resident seals
The Point - The best location in Newquay and our favourite. A must do for all, includes caves, whirlpools, jumps, tunnels, The Cauldron, exposure, swell and much more
The Big Island - A journey that will test the best, offering great climbing, jumps and adventure swimming, a great one for those adrenaline junkies
Vertical Descents has developed coasteering routes in Newquay that are all available on both low and high tide - it just depends on what you want. Generally, low tide coasteering trips bring wildlife and more caves to see but not many jumps, this is really good if you want to explore the shore and see things that only few see. High tide is all about the jumps and moving water; the ultimate in fun.
