Great news for those of you who love the Portes du Soleil Bike Parks – Crankworx is back in Les Gets for 2017!
Being the biggest mountain bike festival series in the world, Crankworx pulls some serious numbers. Over the week you can expect to see as many as 300 of mountain biking’s top male and female athletes descend on the town for events including the downhill, Air DH, dual slalom, whip-offs, and – arguably the highlight of the event – the Red Bull Joyride slopestyle competition. If you live by your mountain bike, Crankworx is one of the best places you could be this Summer.
Morzine and the Portes du Soleil feature around 650km of mountain bike trails, making them the off-road biking capital of Europe; and one of the most amazing places to ride in the world. Spend up to a week in this playground with Drift Riding at their purpose-built riders' chalet!
Featuring ensuite rooms (sleeping up to 4), along with a large communal space (offering Apple TV, pool, table tennis and - of course - a chalet bar); Chalet Nantegue is perfect for your down-time between coming off the hill and heading out into Morzine. When it comes to the riding, you're only a 5 minute pedal from the Pleney and Super Morzine lifts (accessing 12 different resorts across France & Switzerland), putting you in the heart of the action regardless of whether you prefer your XC riding or gravity-fuelled downhill!
The chalet features secure bike storage, a fully-tooled up workshop and bike-wash area (along with resident bike mechanic, there to help with any repairs, tuning and set up advice) - there's even a resident bike photographer who can come up with you to capture your riding at its best!
With breakfast every morning and a 3 course evening meal (or BBQ) 6 nights each week, Drift Riding are offering one of the best spots to start exploring this incredible resort and its amazing biking in the heart of the French Alps.
